Aleppo soap is the original solid soap. Ancestor of Marseille soap, it was born more than 3,000 years ago in Aleppo in northern Syria.

Aleppo soap manufacturing process

Based on olive oil and laurel berry oil, this pure vegetable soap is made using the saponification method by cooking vegetable oils in a cauldron. Just like Marseille soap, the soap paste is poured and smoothed in layers to dry before cutting. Once cut, the Aleppo soap bars are stored in a storage area protected from the sun to dry for a minimum of 9 months before packaging.
