Hummus & Ardence oil

Ideal for a fresh and light aperitif!

No ladies and gentlemen, olive oil is not just for salad!

And to give you proof, today we are starting a series of 9 recipes carefully concocted by Carine with our different olive oils. Every week its own oil!

And today this series begins with a recipe for Hummus with our Ardence oil. Ideal for a fresh and light aperitif!

Ingredients (for 6 people):

  • 500 g dry organic chickpeas
  • 2 lemons
  • 5 tablespoons of tahine
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of cumin
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Olive oil
  • ARDENCE olive oil

Recipe :

1. Drain the chickpeas, making sure to keep some of the cooking water.

2. Mix the chickpeas, gradually adding the cooking liquid.

3. Add the lemon juice, garlic, cumin, tahini, pepper and salt.

4. Mix, incorporating the olive oil little by little until you obtain a creamy texture. You may need to add more cooking water.

5. Taste and re-season with salt, pepper, lemon or garlic.

6. When serving, sprinkle with cumin, paprika or Espelette pepper.

7. At the last moment drizzled with your Ardence olive oil. The bottle can be placed next to the hummus for those with a sweet tooth!

THE LITTLE EXTRA: Serve with warm pita cut into triangles and vegetables (carrot, radish, cauliflower, mushroom).
